Start Rockschool Vocals Now!

To start Rockschool Vocals, you’ll need a Rockschool book. Start at the appropriate level and work your way up through the Grade books and exams.

Tips for teachers:

  • Pieces from the 2014 Grade Books may be used as Grade Book Pieces.
  • Piano accompaniments are available for all songs and come with your book.  Download the sheet music or the backing track. In the exam you can choose to sing to the backing track or be accompanied by a live piano accompanist.
  • If you are transposing the song, please use the midi files to transpose the backing track into the correct key.  You will need to bring this to the exam downloaded onto a device or USB.
  • Backing tracks for Free Choice Pieces are no longer mandatory.  But providing sheet music is!
  • If you’re performing a piece in a language other than English, please provide a translation of the lyrics for the examiner.
  • If you do bring backing tracks, please provide them on a USB or device – downloaded and ready to press play.
